This detached gite is the perfect retreat for couples looking for that quiet holiday with a double bedroom on the first floor and a sofa bed in the lounge.
Les Brousses is a quiet, rural hamlet, located approximately 15km from medieval Dinan, 40 minutes drive from St Malo and the beautiful sandy beaches of Sables d'Or, St Jacut, Dinard and St Cast.

First floor: is a double bedroom and bathroom, with full size bath, shower tap attachment and hand-basin and there is a separate toilet.

Ground floor: fully fitted kitchen/diner has fridge, washing machine, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and electric cooker with full oven and hob. The comfortable lounge has television with free satellite. There is a sofa bed, which can sleep 2.

Our beautiful holiday cottage in the centre of Brittany, France, has been converted from a traditional Brittany longere and is set in a large tranquil garden. The cottage has been restored to the highest modern standards; it is centrally heated throughout making it an ideal holiday home in both summer and winter. In 2006 we were pleased to receive a national award televised in France for the restoration.

The ground floor: open plan kitchen/living area with wood burning stove, satellite television and DVD. The kitchen has full size oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The ground floor also has one double room with double bed and a second room with bunk beds. Separate shower and wc. The 1st floor comprises solely of the master bedroom with its own spacious bathroom. A single bed or cot can be added. Outside, there is a barbeque, outdoor dining table, chairs and loungers
Just 3km from the pretty village of Gouarec, where the river Blavet meets the Nantes-Brest Canal, with supermarket, bank, post office, and restaurants. The canal towpath is ideal for walking or cycling, or walking your dog.
Close by is the Abbey of Bon Repos; this picturesque, historic Cistercian monastery is a delightful picnic spot and on Sunday mornings has a small produce and craft market. Each summer the Abbey hosts the largest Son et Lumiere in the area. Ten minutes drive by car is the Lac du Guerledan, the largest lake in Brittany, with beaches & water sport facilities and over 10 kms of cycle track at Mur de Bretagne. In Brittany, market day means fete day and most towns hold their own unique type of market.

A fascinating mix of spectacular coastline and ancient towns, much of historic Brittany is within easy reach. St Malo, where you leave your car outside and walk through cobbled streets or stroll the ramparts for views of the yacht dotted Atlantic. It has a sandy beach with rock pools where kids can safely paddle. Just upriver is the medieval town of Dinan with its 13 Century cathedral and quaint half-timbered houses. Cruise on the Rance estuary, or further west lays the Gothic abbey of Mont St Michel, cut off from the main land at high tide.

The Gulf of Morbihan with rocky bays and sandy coves. Carnac, famed for its megalithic remains. Quimper, famous for its handmade pottery. Pont-Aven, a postcard pretty fishing village made famous by Paul Gauguin. Ile de Brehat, on the northern coast, where a short boat trip takes you onto the island. The area is full of things to see and do, and makes a perfect holiday destination.
 

Two pretty Breton stone cottages (Primrose and Hortensia) with a shared above ground swimming pool and a separate main house (Louis Guillox) with a private use pool. The village of Pommerit Le Vicomte is close, with a small supermarket/butcher, a diet crashing boulangerie, bar, pharmacy and sports facilities such as football and tennis. The historic town of Guingamp is 10 minutes with hypermarkets, souvenir shops, restaurants and indoor swimming pool.
